How can she own a word? No one owns a word you own the “name” not the Trademark. This woman did it to herself.
She had a lot of nerve to trademark “hon” since she didn’t invent the word and she used a pink flamingo at her entrance, knowing full well that it’s only a Baltimore icon due to John Waters’ film “Pink Flamingos.”
Public backlash led to her canceling the trademark in 2011 and the restaurant shut down in 2022. Good riddance.

He business was actually thriving after Kitchen Nightmares. She retired in 2022 & closed the restaurant. She also loved by the people & joined parades & parties in Baltimore with her restaurant sponsoring them.

Everyone in the comments acting like they’ve never made a mistake before and then acknowledged it and worked on it. She heard everyone out, apologized for being in the wrong, vowed to do better. Acting like second chances aren’t ok is weird.
