A Maharashtrian special made with raw mangoes. It resembles an instant spicy and flavourful chutney!
KAIRI TAKKU
Ingredients
3 medium raw mangoes
2 tsps red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2-3 tablespoons sliced jaggery
2 tablespoons oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
Approach
1. Get rid of the leading portion and grate the raw mangoes.
2. Add red chilli powder, salt, jaggery and blend well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes or till the jaggery melts.
3. For tempering, heat oil in a little nonstick pan. Include mustard seeds and once they begin to splutter, add cumin seeds and blend well. Allow to cool.
4. Add this to the grated raw mango mixture and mix well.
5. Usage as required.
