Activate Your Brain Song Now — And Give Your Mind The Care It Deserves
Thank you for making it simple and thorough.
Machine wash cold gentle
ABSOLUTELY NOT. Heat has very little to do with it, agitation is what makes wool felt.
@TheMetallicaMonster Gentle cold machine wash?
Cashmere yes. Wool is a risk. I have machine washed and ruined wool and others have been fine. No issues with 100% cashmere items.
@BellllaXO even a gentle wash agitates the fibres my dude. you might get away with it 2 or 3 times, but 4 or more, enjoy your damaged clothes 🙂
@TheMetallicaMonsterthe instructions on my 100% merino sweater is Cold water wash
Thanks bro
What kind of soap did you use?
Clean soap
The bubbly kind
Probably something like woolite
@Zeno7741😅
Wool safe – most commercial detergents contain enzymes that will harm wool.
You can use human “clarifying shampoo” or “wool & silk” detergent.
No squeezing into a ball is bad
How do you recommend getting the water out?
@tanyawieczorek6603I squeeze. Squeezing is fine, wringing it bad
Is it helping my hoodie being small ?
Do you find that the cashmere sweater shrinks a little bit when you hand wash it?
It can shrink due to temperature changes very easily. It’s critical to use the same cool but not ice cold temperature for both the washing and the rinse. For example you should not rinse it an ice cold water straight from the tap during the winter, that will make it shrink. People think that cashmere and wool only shrink due to hot water, but they it also shrinks a little bit if it suddenly gets plunged into ice cold water. Using room temperature water is ideal, that will prevent any shrinkage.
@pressrepeat2000thanks for the tip
Audio please
Thanks!
I bought a cute sweater from the thrift store and saw on the wash rag it was wool now I have to wash it like this thanks for the video ❤
Make sure it’s washable wool otherwise it will shrink. If it’s not washable it will go in XL and come out a S.
The shrinkage occurs with TEMPATURE CHANGES. USE ROOM TEMPATURE WATER
No it doesn’t. Wetness and agitation causes felting
Would woolite be a good option for 100% cotton hoodie?
I remember my mom doing that! 😅
Yeah this isn’t totally accurate. There’s no way the garment comes out wrinkle free after pressing water out.
