KESAR COCONUT LADDOO.

Active ingredients.

A generous pinch of saffron (kesar).
1 1/2 cups scraped fresh coconut.
2 tbsps ghee.
1/2 cup sugar.
1/2 cup milk.
1/2 tsp green cardamom powder.
Desiccated coconut as required.

Approach.

1. Heat a shallow nonstick pan. Include saffron and cook on low heat for 30 seconds.
2. Transfer in a mortar and crush with the aid of a pestle.
3. Heat ghee in a nonstick kadai. Add coconut, crushed saffron and sauté for 4-5 minutes.
4. Sugarcoat and cook till the sugar liquifies.
5. Include milk, green cardamom powder and cook till mixture thickens.
6. Transfer the mix in a plate and permit to cool completely.
7. Divide the mixture into equivalent parts and roll into balls. Roll these balls in desiccated coconut and serve.
