Season 1, Episode 9: The last 3 participants had to produce a soufflé, the chef who came closest to producing the soufflé had the first choice in selecting an active ingredient to produce service: beef, chicken or tuna, the chef that was available in 2nd, can just pick what was left, the chef that was available in last didn't have a choice.
Season 1, Episode 10: The 2 final contestants gotten ready for their last individual challenge, where the winner would get a benefit for supper service. The 2 finalists developed their half of the Hell's Cooking area restaurant to their own styles and they picked the members of their groups from the formerly eliminated contestants.

Gordon I am a big fan, but this show throughout it’s history has obviously had planted contestants who were not REAL chefs!! As a chef myself it can be very obvious to spot.
