Crispy on the outdoors, soft and fluffy on the inside these Air Fryer Potato Wedges are the kind of snack you keep reaching for without even realising it. That golden crunch followed by warm, comforting potato makes every bite deeply satisfying, minus the heaviness of deep frying.

This dish is perfect for tea-time cravings, movie nights, or as a fast side dish that vanishes quickly, proving that lighter treats can still provide huge flavour and comfort.

POTATO WEDGES

Components

500 grams wafer potatoes
1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 tsps salt
1 1/2 tsps onion powder
1 1/2 tsps garlic powder
1/2 tsp crushed black peppercorns
1 tbsp cornflour
Oil for spraying
Tomato catsup for serving

Approach

1. Wash and scrub potatoes tidy. Cut each potato lengthwise into halves, then into 3– 4 wedges.
2. Heat adequate water in a deep pan, include potatoes and parboil for 7-8 minutes. Drain pipes and spread on kitchen towel to take in all excess water.
3. Take Kashmiri red chilli powder in a bowl. Add dried basil, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, crushed black peppercorns and cornflour and mix well.
4. Include the potatoes and mix well. Make certain each wedge is nicely covered with the spice mix.
5. Preheat the air fryer at 200 ° C for 2-3 minutes.
6. Spray some oil on air fryer basket and set up the wedges in a single layer. Spray some more oil on top.
