Yummy ๐
At first I thought it Was a a doughnut hole ๐
That’s Such a great idea
If anyone asks if youโre on a low sodium diet just say Na
That’s hilarious ๐ I see what you did there
We used to do that with new potatoes. And we would eat the potatoes with butter.
Is it hard to clean the pan used to cook the potatoes?
I would assume the water would dissolve the salt when you wash
You can soak the pan with hot water, soap, and vinegar to de-scale it if there is an iasue.
That salt will dissolve back into water in about 90 seconds. You just have to make sure you use enough water
I’ve cooked potatoes this way a few dozen times and cleanup of the pan isn’t an issue the thin salt layer dissolves with water easily. You will need to wipe down all surrounding surfaces though.
Wtf๐๐ nah dogg
I usually combine mine with butter and gravy, but the salt water cook is legit.
Is this a traditional recipe or is this your modern take on it? I can’t find anything past the 1800s and no listing of ingredients. I also see a lot of “recipes” online that use jalapenos which is NOT traditional to Spain or the canary islands ๐ค
And why do some websites like taste atlas show a Mexican prehispanic molcajete mortar for this recipe? And yes, the canary island mortars are very different than the prehispanic three legged molcajete…What in the cultural Appropriation ๐ฎ
Been watching him for over 20 years sheesh
Just missing the Avocado ๐
4 T (kosher) salt – sodium: 13,440 mg (assuming diamond crystal) + 11 tiny potatoes. so over 1200mg per potato. ok fine, some salt stuck to the side of the pan – so maybe 800mg per potato? bruh…
