Masala Bombil Bhaji | कुरकुरीत मसाला बोंबील भजी | Bombay Duck Pakoda | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Fish fans, here's a masaledaar sabzi just to satiate your taste buds. Masala Bombil Bhaji is a special dish used Bombay duck and a series of hot aspects for that dhamakedaar taste.



6-8 small Bombay ducks, cleaned and halved
Salt to taste
3/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 little onion, sliced
1 tsp Agri koli masala
2tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tablespoon ginger garlic green chilli paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup gram flour
2-3 tbsp rice flour
A pinch of baking soda
Oil for deep frying
Green chutney for serving


1. Boil enough water in a deep non-stick pan. Include salt, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and Bombay duck. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Drain pipes and remove bones.
2. In a bowl take the boiled fish, add onion, Agri koli masala, coriander, ginger garlic green chilli paste, turmeric powder, lemon juice, gram flour, rice flour, salt and baking soda
3. Heat adequate oil in a kadai gently drop a part of the mix in oil and deep fry till golden brown. Drain pipes on an absorbent paper.
4. Serve hot with green chutney.
