Jamie Oliver x Fish Tales: Why Sustainable Fishing Matters | Episode 1

Delighted World Oceans Day! Our worldwide fish stocks are being gone over in an all-new series as Jamie Oliver and @Bartsfishtales look at how sustainable seafood options can trigger a real market revolution. Enjoy our teaser and get the full recipe information listed below!

I'm taking a seat with my pal Bart van Olphen @Bartsfishtales and @fishtales_official to unpack the immediate "WHY" behind the fish we pick to purchase. In this video, we are breaking down the reality of commercial industrial overfishing and bycatch, checking out why standard pole-and-line fishing techniques in places like Indonesia are the future, and responding to concerns about the long-term future of seafood.

To accompany our chat, I'm whipping up a fresh Italian-Style Tuna Salad served over crisp tomato bruschetta. It's dynamic, delicious, affordable, and most notably, entirely sustainable. Let's take care of our oceans, one plate at a time.

Recipe Components Checklist:

1 Tin of Sustainable Fish Tales Skipjack Tuna (in Extra Virgin Olive Oil).
Fresh Fennel (finely shaved).
Rocket/ Arugula leaves.
Fresh Lemon (zest and juice).
Squashed Capers & Fresh Red Chili.
Craftsmen Sourdough Bread (for Bruschetta).
Ripe Treasure Tomatoes.

  10. In Ireland an Irish man will go to jail if he catches a tuna standing on his beach. However European Union vessels the size of the titanic are allowed to come over and wipe them out bringing all back to Europe.
