He has food poisoning multiple times which is why he quit for a few years.
Gordon has some of the strongest nostrils I’ve seen. You know it’s really bad when even the cameraman can’t take the smell

gordon can make money in many ways but the fact that he fixes kitchens and restaurants going through this hell and stench is really service to all people.
Back in the early 80’s as a teenager I worked at a large hotel that had banquet facilities. Sometimes people renting the facilities for parties or whatever would order raw fresh Oysters on the half shell. The restaurant manager would order enough fresh oysters to server all the tables. Then when people ordered more they would get their empty shells and maybe rinse them off, maybe not, and fill them with bulk shelled oysters out of a bucket. They’d use the top half of the shell too. I don’t think anyone ever noticed or said anything at least. Back then people drank at parties and I think they were drunk after the first good round anyway.
@@teddine7366 It wasn’t hard. Just gather the empty shells from the tables, spray off any sauce that is visible otherwise just do nothing but place them on the serving ice trays and spoon a oyster from a bucket into the shells. They taste like oysters from a bucket and not fresh but no one complained as far as I know. Those oysters are supposed to be for cooking not served as fresh out of the shell. Also it’s kind of nasty to reuse the shells without washing them but they did. Later they went out of business as soon as another place opened that had the space they had. Then later the hotel became a abandoned building with tress growing in the lobby. Then they tore it down. It’s a vacant lot now.

I would quit dirty cooking institutions if they don’t fix the problems. I work in a Fastfood environment myself, never seen anything worse than these work conditions.
Edit: Gordon has the right to be righteously angry and for a valid reason. Serious health concerns and safety issues.
