Is brown bread same as wheat?

Brown bread used to mean ‘whole’ wheat (i.e. healthy) but nowadays bread is colored with sugar to make it look like the healthy whole brown. Look specifically for whole wheat.
@sebastiaansiemons3868 Not all brown bread, the important thing to look for is 100% whole wheat or wholemeal. Look on the list of ingredients for E150, this means molasses has been added to make it look brown.
Making your own bread is simple and therapeutic, there are plenty of recipes online and the flour is available in the supermarket, you will need to buy the specific strong plain flour for bread
