My parsnips look completely different. Why do my parsnips look like white carrots but yours look like the pillsbury dough boy?

@magsk6721but so do I. I live in Arizona. All I have ever seen is parsnips that look like white carrots. I wonder if it’s a UK vs US thing and they’re just different.
Are you sure you have parsnips and not root parsleys?
@pannalevyes. Mine look exactly like what are labeled as parsnips in the grocery store. White carrots. As I said, that is the only kind of parsnips I have ever seen, until watching Jamie Oliver.
@GypsyMichele no it’s a variety thing. You may need hunt for seed of a different variety of seed
