  1. spraying the foil is a trick i didn’t know about. ty for that and for the recipes

  2. Amazing recipes, thank you!! In my world lol, Scallop Potatoes are cream/milk only, Au Gratin are with the addition of cheese.

  3. Husband bought a 10 ob bag of potatoes for just the two of us lol.
    Needed this.

    1. Potatoe soup! Also I remember finding this recipe years ago on the back of a can of cream of mushroom soup. You slice potatoes mix the cream of mushroom soup with a little bit of milk salt pepper and paprika spread that over the potatoes and then put some cheddar cheese on top of that and bake it at 450. That is still one of my absolute favorite ways to make potatoes!

    2. Tip here. Theres no day bad for a potato.
Bake potatoes to 205 internal heat. Once done cut a slice across the top. Let that moisture escape.
Leftover baked potato slice up and fry for breakfast or a good bean soup meal

    3. I put french fried ONIONS on top for the last 5 minutes. YUM! (forgot to put the word ONION…sorry)

  4. As an elementary school cook, I used a sheet of parchment paper under the foil.

  5. I want those two soup recipes….this video was great. Great ideas for potato sides

  6. My mom always made scalloped potatoes with ham after a big ham dinner. It was loved more than the ham dinner, especially with lightly burnt Velveeta cheese. We always fought for those parts 🙂

  7. Everyone keeps complaining about meat prices being so high. I just bought a big bag of red potatoes and Yukon golds. As well…a bag of beans and some chicken. Spent about $30 and enough foods for 7 dinners. During the Great Depression our grand and great grandparents understood how to stretch food. No fast food drive throughs or Starbucks back then.

    1. my grandfather told me that he had to hunt to feed his brothers and sisters

  8. I’m a spud enthusiast from way back but you brought me from taters and gravy to potato connoisseur three cheers, thanks so much, now there’s going to be a rush on potatoes at the grocery stores.

  9. It’s like you knew I had a bag of potatoes I needed to do something with!

  10. My absolute favorite food are potatoes! So many ways to make it. All delicious!!!

    1. I said that for years until a night out dining the included potato side dish I didn’t like so that was an exception to my love of potato dishes (I swapped a rice pilaf)

    2. @iancryar6431 Why did they have ruin a perfectly good potato???
There’s times when potatoes are one of the few things I can make myself eat. That and scrambled eggs…

  11. Rarely, does 10 lb bag of potatoes last a week here. My husband doesn’t eat rice, casseroles, pasta very little….
He’s a meat, potato , homemade biscuits or cornbread eater.I know!! I know!!! He’s also not big on a big variety of spices….which I most definitely am….❤❤❤❤
Definitely saving this video Nicole!❤ The sausage potatoes casserole…that’s a crowd pleaser for sure! ( unless my husband is in the crowd😂) .That’s okay I’ll just fix him a 🍔, he will love it.😊

  12. Love this…potatoes are my favorite food. You can do so many things with them. Thanks Nicole!

  14. Great idea to spray top of aluminum foil. Don’t know why I never thought of that! ❤

  15. My brother inadvertently forgot that he had tater tots in the toaster oven (package time 20 minutes) he realized that he had forgotten about the tots at 50 minutes…just as crispy as deep fried no oil & it works on hash brown patties as well!

  16. I’ve never liked potato salad but that recipe looks delicious. I will have to try it. I also admire your self-restraint and not eating all of those crispy potatoes!

  17. Well if I wasn’t hungry before, man oh man , eeeni meani miny mo . And I’m going to the body shop with potatoes to take some rust off my old truck , hahaha. Great show!
