How to Make Braised Leeks | Martha’s Cooking School | Martha Stewart

While leeks may be a member of the onion and garlic household, they have a sweeter, more delicate taste. Leeks provide a subtle accent to a variety of recipes. In this video, learn Martha Stewart's favorite method to prepare them– to braise them. Initially, prepare the leeks by removing the external leaves and trimming completions. Prepare in butter until softened and golden brown. Include stock and white wine to deglaze the pan and after that give a boil. Lastly, lower the liquid, sprinkle with parsley, salt, and pepper, then serve. Braised leeks are a simple, traditional french dish that you make certain to enjoy.
