Panko-Crusted Salmon
DISH THANKS TO INA GARTEN
Level: Easy
Overall: 35 minutes
Prep: 15 minutes
Non-active: 10 minutes
Prepare: 10 min
Yield: 4 servings
Components
2/3 cup panko (Japanese dried bread flakes).
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley.
1 teaspoon grated lemon passion.
Kosher salt and newly ground black pepper.
2 tablespoons good olive oil.
4 6- to 8-ounce salmon fillets, skin on.
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard.
2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
Lemon wedges, for serving.
Instructions.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
In a little bowl, mix together the panko, parsley, lemon zest, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Drizzle with the olive oil and stir till the crumbs are evenly coated. Reserve.
Location the salmon fillets, skin side down, on a board. Generously brush the top of the fillets with mustard and after that sprinkle kindly with salt and pepper. Press the panko mix thickly on top of the mustard on each salmon fillet. The mustard will help the panko adhere.
Heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a 12-inch cast-iron skillet or big heavy, ovenproof pan. When the oil is very hot, add the salmon fillets, skin side down, and burn for 3 to 4 minutes, without turning, to brown the skin.
Transfer the pan to the hot oven for 5 to 7 minutes till the salmon is practically cooked and the panko is browned. Remove from the oven, cover with aluminum foil, and permit to rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve the salmon hot or at space temperature with lemon wedges.

The salmon dose not look done
I know. I see all these videos where they cook salmon in 5 seconds. I’m not even going to say how long I bake it at 425. And I only bake it with butter salt and pepper. All these mustard sauces are too overpowering for me.
Love your videos β€β€β€β€π
Wow looks yummy thank you π β€
Salmon is a fatty fish. I donβt think any added oil is necessary
Not you deleting the comments about how the “Chinese-y” pqrt aged bad…
