Soak the cloves in cold water for 30 mins-peels literally fall off.
1. don’t cut yourself
2. cut off the finger

I always just press on then slightly twist the garlic cloves which makes the peel very easy to remove.
I can peel one in like 5 seconds so it never fails me.
