Coconut Halwa | नारियल का हलवा | #KesarKhazana | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A dessert fit for royalty! This kesar, coconut, and nut-filled halwa is the supreme sweet extravagance!

COCONUT HALWA

Ingredients

1 large fresh coconut, cut in half
100 grams mawa/khoya
8 cashew nuts
6-8 pistachios
6-8 almonds
1 1/2 tablespoons ghee
1 cup milk
A big pinch of saffron
1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
3/4 cup sugar

Approach

1. Scrape the coconut and move it in a bowl.
2. Grate mawa and move it in a bowl.
3. Chop cashew nuts, pistachios and almonds.
4. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add ditched coconut and sauté for 2 minutes.
5. Add the grated mawa, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
6. Include milk, saffron, and green cardamom powder and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
7. Sugarcoat and mix. Include salt, mix and cook for 3-4 minutes.
8. Include half of the sliced cashew nuts, pistachios and almonds. Cook for a minute.
9. Serve hot garnished with staying sliced nuts.
