CHILLI GARLIC RICE

Ingredients

4 tsps red chilli powder
20-25 garlic cloves
3 cups remaining prepared rice
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil
1 1/2 tsps cumin seeds
7-8 garlic cloves, unpeeled
3-4 dried red chillies
2 green chillies, sliced
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
20-25 curry leaves

Method

1. Coarsely pound the garlic cloves in a mortar with the aid of a pestle.
2. Add red chilli powder and salt and continue to pound to a coarse paste. Add this mix to the rice and mix till well integrated.
3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Include cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add the garlic cloves, dried red chillies, green chillies, and onion and blend well. Prepare till the onion turns clear. Add the curry leaves and mix.
4. Include rice, and toss till well combined. Prepare till the rice is warmed up completely, while stirring in between.
5. Transfer on a serving plate and serve hot.
