  1. My Nonna is turning over in her grave but I am definitely here for the ranch Carbonara ❤😂

  2. I love ranch, but my husband doesn’t really like it. I use it for dressing for myself and guests and recipes. I’m going to try some of these for sure. If you use it a lot, buying it in packets is not cost effective. It can be bought in larger containers and measured out as needed, or just make your own. I try to avoid unnecessary chemicals, additives, and salt, so I make my own. There’s tons of recipes for it. I make it and store in airtight glass jars so it’s ready when needed.

  3. More than a few of these I could see myself using that “The Spice Lab” Spicy Sun Dried Tomato Seasoning. Thank you for the inspiration.

  4. I make my own Ranch mix. That way I can cut way back on the sodium, that’s usually found in these packets.

    1. I LOVE SALT, so I don’t have n issue with it. I buy Mrs.Dash no salt seasoning, because I’m always having to watch where the salt is coming from!

    2. Those of us who are of a certain age are salt restricted. She does use a lot of salt, but she is young. That’s ok, we can work around it because her recipes are good.

    3. @LaureenAlfordthis is mine, hope it helps:
      2 T equals 1 envelope
      • 1/2 cup dry buttermilk powder (optional, leave out for dairy-free)
      • 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
      • 2 tablespoons onion powder
      • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
      • 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
      • 1 tablespoon dried chives
      • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt or kosher salt (adjust or omit to your needs)
      • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
      • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
      ———
      1. Mix the spices: Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl until thoroughly combined, or pulse them in a food processor or spice grinder if you prefer a finer texture.
      2. Store: Transfer the mix into an airtight glass jar or spice container. Store it in a cool, dark pantry for up to 6 months.
      3. Shake before using: Spices can settle over time, so give the jar a quick shake before measuring.
      ———
      • To make ranch dressing: Combine 2 tablespoons of the mix with 1/2 cup mayonnaise and 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk (adjust liquid for your preferred thickness).
      • To make ranch dip: Mix 2 tablespoons of the blend with 1 cup sour cream (or equal parts sour cream and mayonnaise).
      • As a dry rub: Use it directly to season roasted potatoes, chicken, or vegetables.

  5. Ranch isn’t my favorite but I don’t hate it, you make it look so good that I’m going to try some of these recipes. Like you, my favorite food is dip…will definitely give those a try, they look delicious!

  6. I don’t know how long it’s been out, but Hidden Valley makes a Garlic Ranch, in both pouch and bottle. I think it would be GREAT in most of these recipes. I used it in my 3-packet Instant Pot pot roast instead of the regular Ranch, and my husband couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. I’d love to try the Garlic Ranch in the Carbonara! Another fabulous video, Nicole! Thank you!!!

  7. LOVE Nicole’s recipes (made many, so good), and she’s not annoying to watch like so many others who just talk too much. She lets her technique and the food do the talking. Well done. 👏 😍

  8. I get Ranch dip mix in the large shaker jar at Costco because it’s so versatile. Can you imagine not being friends with someone who’s favorite food is chips and dip? I can’t.

  9. Things like Alfredo sauce or Carbonara are EASY TO MAKE, especially in small batch meals! I make my Alfredo in the microwave!
EDIT- here’s how: heat the heavy cream in the microwave, then add the cheese, and butter if you like, whisk to blend. You can add a bit of lemon seasoning at the end.

  10. Please do a video of recipes that did not work, and then how to fix it. That would be helpful, and fun to see. Love your videos!!!

  11. Nicole, instead of adding oil to your garlic bread spread, try adding a spoonful of mayo (Duke’s, of course!😜). It creates the best and most beautiful crust under the broiler. Mmmmm!
