Start your #MilletMonday with this wholesome and nutritious 'Ragi Dosa.' This tasty meal, made from nutrient-rich finger millet (ragi), offers everybody a wholesome option to traditional dosas.
RAGI DOSA
Active ingredients
1 cup finger millet (ragi) flour
1/2 cup rice flour
1/4 cup split black gram (dhuli urad dal) flour
2 dried red chillies
1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds (methi dana).
1 cup yogurt.
Salt to taste.
Oil as needed.
Technique.
1. Blend together red chillies, coriander seeds and fenugreek seeds with water as needed to a coarse paste.
2. Mix together finger millet flour, rice flour, black gram flour, ready paste, yogurt and water as required to a batter of pouring consistency. Set aside to ferment for 3-4 hours.
3. Heat some oil on a non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of batter on it, spread into dosa and cook till equally done.
4. Serve hot with green coconut chutney.
