  1. I put eggs in cold water, and when it boils, I turn off the heat. Then I “cook” for five more minutes, and the soft boiled egg is ready. Never cracks😊

    1. I’ve been doing hard boiled like this for a few years now. Always wondered if I could make a soft boiled eggg in the same way. Thanks for the info.
      Pretty sure the shells crack from thermal shock – just like glass. If eggs are room temp they don’t bust either.

  2. I do my hard bilked and soft boiled eggs in my instant pot. When I boil them on the stove, they over-boil and they are impossible to peel. If I do them in the Instant Pot for 3 or 5 minutes and right into ice water they peel like a dream. Love them and can eat them everyday (and I do sometimes).
