Vegan Hazelnut Spread | #WellnessWednesday | ProV | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Whether you are on a VEGAN diet or not, this Vegan Hazelnut spread is something everybody should certainly try. Loads of dry roasted hazelnuts, dates and cocoa powder, this velvety spread is perfect when you crave something sweet. A spoonful or just spread it on everything you want, it tastes fabulous.

VEGAN HAZELNUT SPREAD

Active ingredients

1 cup hazelnuts
6-7 dates
2 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
Apple slices to serve

Approach

1. Preheat the oven at 180 ˚C. Dry roast hazelnut for 12-15 minutes or up until they have browned a little.
2. Meanwhile, soak dates for 30 minutes with adequate water in a bowl (if using soft dates then you might utilize them straight).
3. Transfer the roasted hazelnuts in a blender container, mix to a fine powder. Add the soaked dates, cocoa powder and a dash of water. Blend well.
4. Add 2 tablespoons water and blend till smooth.
5. Shop in an air tight container as much as 2 weeks or serve with apple pieces or as required.
