SAMO RATALYACHE KAAP
Ingredients
2 medium sweet potatoes (ratalu).
2 tbsps ginger-green chilli paste.
Black pepper powder to taste.
1 tsp cumin powder.
1 tablespoon lemon juice.
1 tablespoon sliced fresh coriander leaves.
Rock salt (sendha namak).
1 cup barnyard millet (samo) flour.
Oil for shallow frying.
Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish.
Method.
1. Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them into roundels.
2. Take ginger-green chilli paste in a large bowl, black pepper powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, coriander leaves, and rock salt and blend well. Include the sweet potato roundels and mix till each roundel is well covered with the masala. Set aside for 5 minutes.
3. Take the barnyard millet flour in a big plate. Cover each sweet potato roundel on both sides.
4. Heat enough oil in a non-stick tawa. Location the sweet potato roundels on it and shallow fry till golden brown and crisp on both sides. Drain pipes on an absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
