Masala Bajra Roti | मसाले बाजरे की रोटी | #MilletKhazana | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Taste and health in this incredibly, power-packed, nutrient-rich !


1 1/2 cups pearl millet (bajra) flour
1 little onion, finely chopped
2 tbsps sliced fresh coriander leaves
1 tbsp grated beetroot
1 little carrot, grated
2-3 green chillies, chopped
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon flax seeds (alsi).
1 tsp red chilli powder.
1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
Salt to taste.
2 tsps ghee + for sprinkling.
White butter as required.
Sliced jaggery for sprinkling.


1. Take pearl millet flour in a big bowl, include onion, coriander leaves, beetroot, green chillies, black sesame seeds, white sesame seeds, flax seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and ghee and mix well.
2. Add 1/2 cup water and knead to a soft dough.
3. Dip your fingers in water, take a part of the dough, even spread out on to a non-stick pan and make a little disc. Location the pan on heat, cook for 1-2 minutes on each side on low heat. Drizzle ghee on both sides and prepare further till golden brown.
4. Include a little part of white butter on top of each disc, sprinkle sliced jaggery, cover and cook till jaggery melts. Place the rotis on a serving plate.
5. Serve hot with white butter and jaggery.
