Yield: 8 to 10 portions.

Active ingredients.

Crust:.

One 11-ounce box vanilla wafer cookies.
3 tablespoons granulated sugar.
1 teaspoon lemon zest, plus more for garnish.
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt.
12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) saltless butter, melted.

Filling:.

1 cup heavy cream.
3 8-ounce blocks full-fat cream cheese, at space temperature.
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract.
1/2 teaspoon lemon enthusiasm plus 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
2 cups confectioners' sugar.
1 1/2 cups sour cream, at room temperature level.
1 quart strawberries, sliced.

Directions.

For the crust: Line a 9-by-13-inch dish with parchment paper, enabling a 2-inch overhang on the sides.

Location the cookies in a resealable plastic bag. Seal and utilize a rolling pin or meat mallet to crush the cookies into fine crumbs. Put into a bowl and include the granulated sugar, lemon zest and salt. Put the melted butter into the bowl and mix completely with a rubber spatula. Firmly push the crumb mixture into the meal in an even layer. Place in the freezer while you make the filling.

For the filling: Beat the whipping cream in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Beat the cream cheese, vanilla and lemon passion and juice in a bowl till fluffy and light, 3 to 4 minutes. Include the confectioners' sugar and sour cream. Beat up until just integrated, making certain there are no swellings. Fold in the whipped cream. Get rid of the crust from the freezer. Put the mix over the crust and spread in an even layer. Place in the fridge for a minimum of 4 hours and as much as overnight.

Use the parchment overhang to raise the bars out of the baking dish. When prepared to serve, organize the strawberries on the top and spray some lemon zest over the top. Slice into squares and serve cooled.
