Yet another addition to the basket of healthy sweet treats, is this puffed sorghum chikki, delightfully flavourful and light.
JOWAR DHANI KI CHIKKI
Ingredients
4 cups puffed sorghum (jowar dhani).
2 tsps ghee.
1 cup chopped jaggery.
1/4 cup approximately sliced, roasted almonds.
Method.
1. Heat ghee in a pan add puffed sorghum and roast till crisp. Transfer on big plate and enable to cool.
2. Melt the jaggery in pan cook till it reaches to the hard-boiled consistency.
3. Include the roasted sorghum and almonds and blend well till combine.
4. Transfer into the greased and lined chikki tray. Spread out the mix equally, sprinkle the almonds and pistachios. Gently push the mix while still warm.
5. Level the top utilizing a rolling pin. Right away cut into needed shape. And set it for 10-15 minutes.
6. Get rid of from the tray, set up on a serving plate and serve.
