Kosher salt
1 pound dried spaghetti
4 ounces pancetta, cut into lardons
1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
Newly ground black pepper
2 big cloves garlic, sliced
1 fresno chili, sliced
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
1/2 cup frozen peas
1 bunch chives, approximately chopped
1 lot parsley, roughly sliced
1 lot basil, roughly sliced
1/4 cup vegetable stock
1 head green leaf lettuce, roughly chopped
1 lemon, zest and juice
Chili flakes, for finishing
Grated pecorino, for garnishing

1. Place a large pot of water over medium high heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, salt the water kindly and add in the pasta. Stir the pasta to ensure it does not stick together and continue boiling up until al dente, about 8-9 minutes.
2. In a big skillet over medium heat, include the pancetta and grapeseed oil and cook till the lardons start to caramelize, about 3 minutes. Season the pancetta lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
3. Add the garlic and fresno and continue up until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Include 2 tablespoons of butter and continue up until the butter has actually melted completely.
4. Add in the frozen peas and continue cooking till they start to soften, then include the chives, parsley, basil and vegetable stock. Season the sauce lightly with more salt, and include another 2 tablespoons of butter. Continue cooking till the butter has melted totally.
5. Include 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water, lemon zest and lemon juice to the pan and stir to integrate.
6. Gradually include the prepared pasta, tossing in between additions to coat the pasta with the sauce totally.
7. Serve the pasta with a sprinkle of chili flakes and freshly grated pecorino.

  1. Household Ingredients? No way!!! I never make food with those. Have to try it.

    1. the steps pretty much similar actually. It depends on what u got in ur cupboard, fridge, etc

    2. If you have a sunny window, grow your own herbs! Seeds are cheap at the dollar store as well has the pots. I ordered some seeds because by the time I found out about them selling gardening stuff it was too late lol. I now have basil, thyme, oregano, cilantro, a tiny Tim tomato plant and Thai chili peppers 😂😂 I live in NYC so I know this is doable for just about anyone. Look up Kratky for the cheapest way to grow. No soil needed just a jar and a window ❤

    3. When i read it my mind was like – Ah household ingredients, dish washing liquid, dishwasher tabs, hand soap, garden fertilizer, bleach, sodium hydroxide, peroxide wait, … are we making a bomb?
