This is one of the most iconic and dramatic episodes, sometime you feel bad for Martin but I guess it’s a tough world and he did allow that kitchen to exist for a long time in such a state.
One of the rare occasions where Gordon actually told the owner to fire someone! He implies it a few times, but he actually advises it here
I didn’t feel bad for Martin when I saw this as a kid. I sure as hell don’t now.

I wouldn’t say that every manager is bad. Andrew seems to be decent. He even developed a long-lasting friendship with Chef Vikas that Gordon brought in. Vikas still mentions Andrew in his social media post as recent as 2022.
