Active ingredients

3/4 cup Select Afghan Whole Natural Black Raisins
2 tbsps oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 1/2 tsps fennel seeds
1 tsp onion seeds (kalaunji).
2-3 dried red chillies, stemmed and diagonally cut.
Black salt to taste.
1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder.
1/2 tsp red chilli powder.

Method.

1. Take Pro V Select Afghan Whole Natural Black Raisins in a bowl. Include sufficient water and soak for 1 hour.
2. Transfer in a mill jar and grind coarsely.
3. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add mustard seeds and once they begin to splutter, include fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, onion seeds and dried red chillies and mix well.
4. Include the ground paste and prepare for 5-6 minutes.
5. Include black salt, roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
6. Allow to cool and serve.

  4. Black raisins should be eaten raw 1 tsp. everyday either in oats and skimmed milk or daliya kheer. Such chutneys are not that palatable and tastewise also it is very different and weird.

    This is for fiber and heart friendly but time period should be asked to a Dietitian.
