  4. If u make a hole at the bottom when u wash them, they get cleaned faster, the water has more movement (circulates better) apposed to letting it spill over where only the top layers are being washed away a lil at a time

    2. @Alan Brown yeah they are in the smaller, back woods towns. The mosquitoes there are huge and horrific. And those are the small ones that bite.

  5. Just imagine that if this man was a Wizard, he will teach us how to cook magic potions, by pouring everything with a mass amount.
    That would be awesome.

  6. Purging is a myth. Just run clean water through them, whilst stirring for like 30 mins at an angle so water runs off with gunk

    1. @greg flue salt kills the crawdad as they are fresh water animals. You throw away the dead ones as they taste bad. Basically by “purging” your just throwing away your money.

  7. Last time I did that the salt was soaked into the crayfish so much that when I cooked it and took a bite it taste like straight up salt lol

    1. You not supposed to do it like that. You can wash them until the water is clear. No need for salt. Purging is not real. There are plenty videos you can watch that show you how to clean them properly no need for the salt. These mfs doing it wrong

  8. I bet everybody comes to his cookouts like “yoooo let me get a plate!” 🤤

  10. I miss having crawfish. Homemade crawfish especially, my grandfather used to make it but he passed away back in 2017. I miss that so much. Along with this restaurant called BoBo’s seafood 🥲 they closed down too. Along with celebrating Mardi Gras party at my grandmas and grandpa’s. Nostalgia hits hard rn 😮‍💨

    1. @joe birone im simply reminiscing on the times. If you have something to say abt that then that’s too bad bc this is YouTube and last time I checked it’s owned by Larry Page not you. So it’s not ur place to tell ppl what to say and what not to say it’s a YouTube comment section nor are you the creator. There’s no need to tell me what you think bc I pay no mind to it

  14. I love what you’re doing especially being from and still in Louisiana myself. Not a lot of people know it but purging with salt is a myth tho believe it or not. It does nothing. You don’t have to use any salt at all. You did it right tho just minus the salt.

    1. Let excretes any salt it doesn’t need and it’s a vital nutrient. Plus da flavor

  15. I’ve heard the salt water didnt make much more of a difference than just cleaning with regular water and giving them a good mix

  16. After watching Leon the lobster, my views on crustaceans have never been the same. I even tried to adopt a hermit crab i found in my yard but I let it go after reading they die in captivity.
